Back after many years off,
Delinquent Habits opened up 2017 strong with the release of their new track,
California, which expresses the group's love for their home state. This new track is featured on their latest album,
It Could Be Round 2, which is currently available on
If you enjoy the remix, please show me some love on my

virtually anything you're looking for. Salute to all my supporters!! I'll have more online soon!!
G Yamazawa has been making noise in the Durham region of North Carolina for several years. Raised in a Buddhist household,
Yamazawa has been a National Poetry Slam Finalist as well as a finalist in many other poetry competitions. His freestyle ability is top notch as well as his delivery. Now, he's making noise internationally with his latest release
North Cack, which features fellow North Carolina artists Joshua Gunn & Kane Smego.
A friend of mine is promoting
Yamazawa and put me on to his music, which (as a huge fan of hip hop) I was instantly attracted to. Therefore, there was no question that I had to put my own twist
to this incredible track that was only released a few months ago. With a funk twist, I added several samples from the likes of Kool & the Gang & the Honey Drippers to North Cack to give it a more
jazzy/funk feel. You can
stream North Cack (Funk Mix) right here as well as
download it free of charge. And don't forget to support G Yamazawa by purchasing
the original version of North Cack as well as the album,
Shouts To Durham, available on both Amazon & iTunes.
One of the great pop/R&B groups of the mid to late 90's was
702. They released several chart toppers during their tenure including
All I Want,
Where My Girls At and
Steelo was the group's debut single from their first album,
No Doubt and features hip hop icon
Missy Elliott. The song peaked at #32 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Today I have a fusion of 2 songs that are basically the same melody. Originally,
Franki Valli & the 4 Seasons released the smash hit
December 1963 (Oh What A Night), which has remained popular for over a half century. This is a song you will hear at almost any wedding as well as many other events where oldies can be heard. Fast forward to 2016...
Kat Deluna incorporates that original melody into a newer version entitled
What A Night featuring
Jeremih. Although not as popular as the original by Frankie Valli, Deluna's version certainly sounds
good as an R&B/Pop alternative.
The summer of 2007 was taken by storm with the release of
Crank That by
Soulja Boy. After some success with this song and dance that goes with it, Soulja Boy was signed by
Mr Collipark who put this song in the mainstream where it reigned as the summer anthem for that year and is still played a decade later.
Experiencing equal success 10 years later,
Kendrick Lamar dropped an album that may be considered one of the best in hip hop history...
Damn. Leading things off from his new album,
Humble has enjoyed mainstream success at the top of the Billboard charts throughout the summer, making it one of 2017's biggest tracks.
Sunshine Skateway... Homestead, Florida!! This was my stomping ground as a youth. And from the 70's into the late 80's (when it was changed over into an ice skating arena)
this was where everybody who was anybody went. Roller skating was huge at the time, but there was also dancing off to the corner behind the cement wall. I was one of the
skaters at the time. And, as many others will remember, we rolled the floor in packs... breaking apart when coming up on slower skaters... only to regroup on the other side.
There were SO MANY people that I grew up with and still remain friends with to this day. I won't even mention any names because I fear I may miss someone, but my Sunshine
Skateway peeps all know who they are because they all hung out at the same place!!
This mix was made for a 25 year reunion of the folks I came of age with at the place I called my 2nd home. The big sounds for roller skating are present in this mix, which
would primarily include
funk and some
dance-pop. This was what we rolled to and I am happy to share this mix with everyone now that our
reunion has passed. This is a far cry from most present day music, but the high energy and big beats kept us rolling every weekend!!
I wanna send a shout to ALL of my Sunshine Skateway people. I am blessed to know all of you.
One of the most recognizable tunes in the history of music could very well be the
Stayin' Alive. Straight from the 1977 soundtrack for
Saturday Night Fever,
Stayin' Alive crossed all genres and musical eras to remain one of the greatest songs of all time
This one is pretty self explanatory.
Get Low by
Lil Jon & the Eastside Boyz, from the album
Kings of Crunk (2002), is a timeless track for any spot that is spinning dance/ booty shaking music period. Everyone knows this track and can recite the lyrics "To the window, to the wall...!"
Dessert experienced mild success in 2015 with another set of memorable lyrics "what'cha gonna, what'cha gonna do with that dessert?"
These 2 combined just give Get Low a whole new flavor. You can stream this one to your pc in either
dirty versions so you can get a nice taste for the sound. I have also put together a video for the remix that you can
view by clicking here. If you like this track & want to add it to your library, you can
access the free, instant download here. Also, for all
my fellow DJ's out there, this download comes complete with clean & dirty versions with 8 bar intros & outros that are completely untagged.
Thanks to everyone for your support. I will have more uploads soon!
The year was 1987.
New Edition's future was in question.
Bobby Brown had departed. Rumors had surfaced that lead singer
Ralph Tresvant was planning on pursuing a solo career. The group's
remaining three members,
Ricky, had voted singer
Johnny Gill into the group to pad the potential departure of Ralph. The result of these moves will remain in our
memories (and ears) forever. New Edition released
Heart Break in 1988 and arguably one of the biggest hits from the album was
Can You Stand The Rain. The original ballad took the hearts
of every New Edition fan as well as everyone else.
Fast forward to 2017... 29 years later... the urban dance mix of this classic is remixed by yours truly. This is one of my all time favorite New Edition songs and I really wanted to
put it back in people's heads. I kept the original song 99% intact (with minor alterations) but added a more uptempo beat to it.
Can You Stand The Rain (urban dance mix) can be downloaded right here at djdiamonddog.com free of charge.
You can also stream it here as well. I urge everyone to take a listen to this one, especially if you're a New Edition fan.
DJ's... the download contains an untagged 8 bar extended mix for your sets. Thank you for your support.
Heathens was a worldwide smash hit, topping the Billboard charts in over 25 countries! Heathens is an alternative rock song with a very mellow vocal approach to it. Pushed by the
Suicide Squad, Heathens found itself peaking at #2 on the US charts along side the group's other hit,
Stressed Out, from their 4th studio album
How do you enhance a song with this much power? You cross it over. Since the video takes place inside a prison, what background beat would work better than Akon's
Locked Up? Take
this fundamental sound and include a verse from a 90's hip hop icon (
Tupac Shakur) and you have a hit that touches on the hip hop genre as well as pop/rock. The download is free and
you can access it by clicking here. The download link includes 8 versions (clean & dirty, extended clean & dirty acappella clean & dirty, instrumental & an alternate
version using the beat from I Got 5 On It by Luniz).
Country music has long been an American tradition, from
Willie Nelson and
Johnny Cash to
Brantley Gilbert &
the Zac Brown Band. Country music, in the new millenium, remains popular in the
mainstream with artists such as
Sam Hunt and
Florida Georgia Line hitting the number one spot in the Hot 100. The new age country has adapted and taken sounds from different popular genres
such as rock and even hip hop in order to give it a new edge sound. It's definitely not the sad songs that were being released 50 years ago. The new country is much more upbeat.
In 1984, when times were still much more conservative, one of the most overly sexualized songs was released. Originating from England,
Frankie Goes to Hollywood dropped
the sex-heavy hit
Relax (Don't Do It) and it took over. At one point, the song was even banned by the BBC due to it's controversial lyrics, which the band stated were
not sexual in nature. Nonetheless, the lyrics were received as sexual by everyone else. Relax peaked at #1 in the UK and at #10 in the US. Even now, 33 years later, the song
remains widely recognized by audiences of all ages.
remix of Morning After Dark about a week ago and featuring a sample of this smash hit, it was clear to me that I wanted
to remix the original song. The remix feautures a verse from
Petey Pablo and upgraded percussion. It is a nice alternative to the original, especially with the increased bass. You can
stream Relax (rabid remix) right here at djdiamonddog.com and (as always) you can
download it here for free as well.
Be sure to check back for more great summer remixes and mashups. Coming soon will be a long overdue country megamix!!
Timbaland's Morning After Dark was a mediocre hit in 2010. It featured the original
Timbaland type sound combined with 2 of the featured artists on this remix...
The song had a dark (but sexy) vampire theme... as described by Timbaland. It was also the debut for his new artist (at the time), SoShy.
The Relax Mix features a sample from a timeless classic that originated in the mid 80's...
Frankie Goes To Hollywood, which was an overly sexual song for it's time.
The melody is one of the most reognizable melodies of the decade and really sexualizes the song. Along some solid percussiom and effects, this remix really adds a good
floor appeal. You can
stream the Relax Mix of Morning After Dark right here at djdiamonddog.com. If you enjoy it, be sure to
download it. The download also features an instrumental
as an added bonus.
Stay tuned to djdiamonddog.com for more upcoming remixes to set your summer off right!!
The genres of hip hop and R&B are complex genres that were influenced by a number of different sounds. These genres, through time, evolved into what you hear today. Many
people don't realize just how much influence is still involved in today's hip hop/r&b music. Samples of funk, disco and even rock & roll are often heard throughout the
hip hop genre. And R&B has evolved from bands into mostly vocal groups through the use of digital production. But, if you listen close, you can still hear those
influences from yesteryear in both genres.

broke through in 2016 with her hit
Down. The song has many similarities to another track that was released about 12 years earlier...
Dirt Off Your Shoulder by
Jay-Z. Both tracks entered the top 40 on
the Billboard charts and both were widely accepted by multi-genre audiences. It seems that a fusion of these 2 songs was destined.
The fusion of these 2 (entitled Down Off Yo Shoulda) features vocals from both artists, beats from both tracks and melodies from both tracks. This is a great mashup for your next party. For the DJ's, it's also a great feature for
early evening at your bar, lounge or club venue. You can

In 1981, an iconic song that's stood the test of time for over 35 years was released,
Don't Stop Believin' by
Journey. Known as one of Journey's signature tunes,
Don't Stop Believin' still gets played
to this day at many events as well as on the radio
Primarily based out of the 50's through the 80's,
Forgotten Classics takes you on a journey through some tracks that were (at one time) quite popular, but are now at back of the
mind (if they're even there at all any more). There's also a few tracks from the 1990's and 2000's that have, similarly, lost their popularity. With artists ranging from
Little Richard to
Ray Charles and
the Beatles to
the Doors, how can you go wrong when you press play on this megamix? Answer: you can't. With all songs compressed into a 5 1/2 minute megamix,
complete with a digital drum pattern to reinforce the percussion, this mix will get you up and out of your seat, no matter what your age is.
Enter Ginuwine. A phenomenal R&B singer who took center stage in the 1990's with his massively successful (as well as sexual) hit Pony.
Pony was a very sexual hit that was great for grinding. Between his voice, the deep percussion and the street melody, it seems that everyone who enjoys
hip hop and R&B enjoys this song, even 20 years later.
Pony has now been brought into the 2010's with 3 mashups. In
Ponies In Paris, Ginuwine's voice flows smoothly over Jay-Z's street level jam,
Niggas In Paris. Pony also takes
a pop turn in
Broccoli Ponywith the implementation of DRAM's
Broccoli behind Ginuwine's vocals. Last, but certainly not least, in
Pony In My Cup (what a funny title), you get a very smooth mashup with Ginuwine
flowing flawlessly over Kirko Bangz'
Drank In My Cup. All 3 mashups are certified bangers and all 3 can be
downloaded here. They are also all clean, so they can be played
There are several more mixes and mashups on the horizon, so stay tuned and be sure to keep up with me at my
With the first post of 2017, I would like to (first of all) wish everyone a happy, safe and prosperous year. May all your dreams come to realization and the opportunities to
reach them be plentiful. Hopefully, everyone enjoyed their New Year's Eve and stayed safe. I also hope that anyone who used the
New Year's Eve Countdown to 2017 Mix found it enjoyable for your evening.
Ja Rule released the single Body to poor chart reviews. The original version featured Ashley Joi in the chorus. The original version appeared on Ja Rule's 2009 mixtape,
The Mirror, which was actually originally slated to be released as a studio album in 2007. The song Body was allegedly written by Ja Rule while in a club watching some women dancing.
rabid remix of Body takes all of the original vocals and combines them with a new beat along with a high energy classic rock sample. If you've ever heard
She's A Beauty by the Tubes, then you're sure to recognize the sample that is present throughout the song. Since this is probably my last
release for 2016, I've made this remix completely untagged, meaning there are no "DJ Diamond Dog" samples anywhere. There are also 5 versions... a regular clean and explicit,
an 8 bar extended clean and explicit and an instrumental.
Last year's New Year's Eve countdown mix
was so popular that I decided to put together another one. Although slightly shorter (only about 20 minutes), this one has just
as much energy... if not more. The mix features all the hottest music from the past year (such as
One Dance) as well as the classic club bangers
Be Faithful &
Let Me Clear My Throat). Everything is fully mixed and flows seamlessly from beginning to end. It was also done completely live. In fact,
the only thing added to this mix (post-production) were the samples.
So, if you're having a new year's eve party and want to be able to keep everyone dancing throughout the night, this is the exactly what you need. All you have to do is
load this mix up on your ipod or computer at 10:30PM and Lil Jon will count down the last 10 seconds precisely. Please remember,
if you are running the mix via bluetooth, there will be a slight delay. You can view the full playlist by scrolling the album art to the left. Also, please keep in mind that this mix is completely unedited. It's
been designed for the big party environment, not for grandma's dining room.
sample the Countdown to 2017 Mix and you can also
download the full, high quality mix for your personal collection. Remember, this mix has a wonderful selection
of bangers for your party!! This is my gift to you all. Thank you so much for another year of support. Everyone have a very Merry Christmas and a happy and safe
With Christmas right around the corner, I'm hoping to get a few more tracks out before the end of the year... to keep them parties poppin'. Thanks for the support and be sure to
share the link djdiamonddog.com with all your friends.
First of all, I want to apologize for not dropping anything over the past 2 months. I've had serious family matters that have been being addressed.
Two iconic hits from 2 iconic eras smash paths in this high energy mashup. Whether you're a classic rock/hair band metal lover or a hip hop/R&B/crunk listener, this one has it all.
It all starts with the well known intro from Def Leppard's
Rock of Ages....Gunter gleiben glauchen globen... which means exactly what you thought it meant, nothing at all. Then, bring in
some funky crunk bass from the smash hit in the 2000's,
Yeah by Usher... and now you've got something to work with!!
Yeah vs. Rock of Ages takes the best of both worlds and fuses them
together flawlessly, giving you a classic 80's feel with that new age bass. This is a perfect mashup for any open format parties or venues.
So, please, check this one out by
streaming it directly and be sure to
download it for your music collection. The download comes via zip file, so please contact me, either by email or through
if you have any problems downloading this latest mashup. The download also contains the regular clean radio version as well as a clean extended version for the DJ's.
The year 2016 marked a huge year for newcomer Desiigner. He blasted onto the scene with the smash hit Panda, which dominated the charts throughout the
summer. Heavy percussion and a unique voice gave the Brooklyn rapper an upper edge with his debut single, which peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
With the success of the original, I offer you a remix alternative featuring T.I. & Rick Ross. You can
stream Panda (the rabid bootleg) here and you can also
download it for your music collection. There is also a video for this remix that you can
watch here. This remix keeps all of the
original energy while adding verses from T.I. & Rick Ross, 2 of hip hop's icons.
There will be much more coming soon, so stay tuned to djdiamonddog.com for some of the hottest releases this fall!!

Pushin' Tha Limutz II
(DJ Diamond Dog)
With the new age of music, video has been an integral part of most promotions. Virtually every artist you hear, both mainstream and underground, has videos to accompany their
releases. About 6 years ago, I began dabbling in video and released Pushin Tha Limitz which was a full video mixtape... completely mixed throughout. It was rather ahead of
it's time at that time and got many positive reviews.
Well, after 6 years of working with sound and video (mostly remixes and mashups), I took the time to put together a part 2 to that original video mixtape. Pushin' Tha Limitz II
runs an identical pattern to the original and features both new and old school tracks. You can stream Pushin' Tha Limitz II right here for free. I expect to offer a download link
in the future, but for now I am keeping it as a streaming only project.
If you enjoy this video mixtape, please let me know on my
facebook page or
at my Twitter account. With some positive feedback, I'll set up a download link for anyone that would like to watch this one lcally on their pc, tablet or phone. Thanks
for the support everyone. If you'd like to see the track listing for this video mixtape, you can
view it here.
Enjoy the music!!
In 1999, TLC released one of the most infectious anthems for the ladies ever heard. No Scrubs described independent women and the fact that they
needed NO man... well, at least no scrub. The song shot into the top 10 in many countries worldwide as well as peaking at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100
in the US. This release is timeless and still gets the women moving and singing when it comes on.
Today, I am featuring 3 chartbusters from 3 different eras all rolled up into one mashup. In the 80's, Sexual Healing was first put out by Marvin Gaye and it was a smash hit that still resonates today. In
the 90's, Max-A-Million remade this classic and added some reggae & house flavor to it. The end result? Another smash hit. In 2015, Nelly & Jeremih did a song that features the words from the hooks of these
2 songs... baaaaaaby. Yet again... another smash hit. The end result is approximately a 35 year time span and 3 smash hits utilizing either the same or very similar hooks.
So, what better way to celebrate these 3 classics than to put out a mashup featuring all 3 of these songs, fused together as one. You can dance to it or you can grind to it. This is the mashup that
extends to both high energy and mellow crowds. So get on board and
check out Sexual Healing Fix (Marvin Gaye vs. Nelly vs. Max-A-Million). You can also
download this mashup for your own personal use. It
is untagged, so it will be very useful for the DJ's. Thanks forthe support and please share the music and the website with your friends.
With all the negative events taking place these days, I felt it was necessary for a mix with some positive content in it. So, here it is...
Positive Vibes. This is just a short, 30 minute mix... but it features music withOUT today's pop content... guns, drugs, sex, etc. This mix
features music from as far back as 50 years right up to the present day. When classics like
the Payback and
Could You Be Loved
team up with more modern classics like
Good Day, the result is a very positive, happy, feel good mix... a mix that just
makes you wanna fire up the BBQ, go to the beach and just enjoy life!! That's what this mix is all about.
This is a great mix. And although it's short, it will leave you feeling uplifted. Please check this one out and share it with your friends. This is
the type of music we need to hear in this world filled with hate and violence. I'd like to send a big thanks to everyone who supports me and
follows my views on this.
It all started in 1954, when a little known artist by the name of
Ray Charles (you may have heard of him) dropped a little track by the name of
I Got A Woman and it hit number one
on the R&B chart. The song was so popular that it has been covered by everyone from
the Beatles to
John Mayer. Fast forward 51 years to 2005 and yet another song utilizing the
harmony is released. This time it is
Jamie Foxx on the vocals (changed up from the original) over a
Kanye West track you may have heard entitled
Gold Digger. The stage
is now set for this mashup.
Tack on another 11 years (62 years from the original song's release) and you can hear a very smooth fusion of these 2 tracks. The original melody remains throughout the mashup,
yet allows Kanye to do his thing as well. You can
sample I Gotta Gold Digger right here and you can also
download it for your music collection. The download features the track
as a clean version as well as an extended 8 bar intro & outro (also clean) for the DJ's.
There will be more summer releases coming soon!! And be sure to Like my page at
facebook.com/djdiamonddog for all of my releases and news. Long Live Music!!
In the early 2000's, Ludacris was huge... as well as Nate Dogg... as well as 50 Cent. Area Codes,
which can be heard in the original Fast & Furious movie, but is not on the soundtrack,
was a big urban hit. It implemented the smooth R&B vocals of Nate Dogg with the gritty, party lyrics of Ludacris.
In 2016, 15 years later, I have remixed this classic by adding a smooth R&B sample from the 1997 hit Too Close by Next to compliment the smooth vocals from Nate Dogg. You can
also hear 50 Cent and his sexually charged lyrics get into the action. This is a smooth R&B/hip hop crossover remix. You can
stream Area Codes (rabid remix) here and
you can download the remix single here (feat. an extended, instrumental & acapella).
This is yet another untagged remix, so it will be very friendly for the DJ's.
Stay tuned to djdiamonddog.com for more great summer music coming soon!!
This was originally remixed in 2010 and featured on the
Platinum Band mixtape. Wretches & Kings is already a high-powered political track in it's original form. However, it takes a whole
new level once Chuck D drops lyrics on it. The entire track is a powerful, conscious, political track, and speaks against the injustices of a corrupt government. Injustices that have been
present for centuries. If you like conscious music, then this one is great for you.
Breaking out of the gates, Work From Home was probably one of the biggest club bangers in the early part of 2016. With smooth, heart-pounding bass & phenomenal harmony, this
song has quickly moved into the mainstream and has appealed to everyone, regarless of their taste in music.
Armed with such a great start, I offer you a
remix featuring the same beat & harmony, but adding a cameo appearance from the Oakland superstar, Too Short, as well as some timely samples.
The 3-1-5 remix (representing my location in upstate NY) features both a clean and dirty version, an 8 bar intro for the DJ's who would like to put it in the mix, and it is also
untagged... meaning there are no DJ Diamond Dog drops in any of the versions.
So go ahead,
download this alternate remix... wherever you are. And stay tuned, I currently have a remix in the works that will feature Jay-Z, Angie Martinez & Flo-Rida!!
After a month of anticipation, the wait is over!! Blendz (the Mixtape) is now online. You can download the individual tracks as
single packages below. You can also
stream the full mixtape as well as download it
in it's clean format or
in it's dirty format. Thanks for all the support, everyone.
I hope you enjoy the mixtape and please, share it with all your friends!!
Released in June 2015,
Save Dat Money grabbed alot of attention with it's comedic content (very similar to
Thrift Shop by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis).
The debut single by Lil Dicky peaked at #71 on the Billboard Hot 100 and # 23 on the US Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs.
Fast Forward to March 2016,
Save Dat Money (Love For Money Mix) is released at
djdiamonddog.com. The remix still features Fetty Wap, but replaces Rich Homie Quan with
Busta Rhymes and completely overhauls the original sound. The
Love for Money Mix features an elegant sample of... that's right...
For The Love Of Money by The O'Jays. The new sound is still dance-floor friendly with alot of energy.
download this remix single here, which features everything you'd want in a single... clean &
dirty versions, clean and
dirty untagged extended versions for my DJ family, an instrumental, and both a clean and dirty acapella. This remix has everything you'll want for your party
or for the club.
One of Motown's finest groups, the Jackson 5, unites with funk legend Walter “Clyde” Orange as well as Bad Boy's Black Rob for a remake of the classic
I Want You Back. There is also an alternate, more pop-friendly remix featuring the Jackson 5 with Black Rob and the new millennium pop phenomenon Taylor Swift.
The remix featuring Walter Orange, originally the drummer from the Commodores, who was also the lead singer on the hit Brick House, has a hip hop/funk sound with strong percussion. The Taylor Swift version is more pop-oriented
and features a more acoustic intro along with a much lighter beat.
In the early 2000's, Mr C released a song that has remained popular at venues all over the world for over 10 years.
The Cha Cha Slide, which is a line dance,
is simply a series of instruction by the artist that the dancers follow. Simple concept. Huge following. Then came 2014 and the release of
an enormous hit by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars. Although it is not a line dance,
Uptown Funk has found it's way into mp3 players around the world and
looks to be a mainstay at venues of all occasions.
Cha Cha Funk takes those dance instructions and combines them with the popular beat of Uptown Funk. Although the actual dance moves remain the same, they
are in a different order. This mashup of these 2 iconic hits is guaranteed to fill your floor, whether at the club/bar or at your house party. Be sure to
take a minute to
sample Cha Cha Funk and
download it for your next big (or small) occasion.
Stay tuned!! 2016 has much more to bring!! And don't forget to check out
Creative Sounds DJ's, my mobile DJ business based out of Watertown, NY. Long live music!
Two iconic songs fused together into one track. That's what you get when you press play on
"Tricky Sharona." First, you take an all time power-pop, college favorite classic in
by the Knack. Then, you blend it with an 80's hit that actually sampled
"My Sharona" with Run DMC's
"It's Tricky," which still packs dance floors around the world to this day, 30 years later. The
result is an uncontrollable, quick-hitting mashup that will get everybody moving, whether they want to or not. This is high-powered stuff right here.
Day-O (the Banana Boat Song) originated in Jamaica in 1952 and was later popularized by Harry Bellafonte in 1956 on his album entitled Calypso.
The calypso (also referred to as mento, or Jamaican folk music) song was later re-popularized in the late 80's when it was featured in the classic movie
Marking 60 years since Harry Belafonte made the song mainstream, 2016 also marks an upbeat remix/re-drum version of this classic, geared towards dancing in
the modern club.
Day-O (the rabid re-drum) features a house beat over the original calypso tune. With the 4 on the floor beat, this re-drum will
liven up any occasion.

New Year's Eve is almost upon us and, traditionally, it is a time of celebration! It's a time to go out with friends, drink merrily and count down
those last 10 seconds until the new year is official. Ringing in the new year is one of the biggest celebrations worldwide and this year will be
no different. In fact, the only difference for your 2016 countdown is one long-playing mp3 from djdiamonddog.com....
New Year's Eve (countdown to 2016 Mix).
This new mix is different from any other new year's mix you've ever heard before because it is designed to play from 10:30pm-1:30am with a countdown from Fat Man Scoop at precisely midnight. So,
no matter what's going on at your party, you will be rung in at midnight, officially, without having to watch the clock all night long. And the music.!! As always, you will be dancing all
night long to a playlist consisting of everything! The playlist contains all edited versions before midnight and all explicit versions afterwards...
when the party really gets started.
The debate has been going on for 20 years now. Who was the better hip hop artist? Tupac? Biggie? Well, even though that debate will carry on through future decades as well,
The Final Round will take a different approach at defining these 2 hip hop icons. This mixtape is not geared towards placing one above the other, but to give us all a
peek at how hip hop could've sounded had these 2 worked together as opposed to against one another.
The Final Round takes some of the greatest hip hop tracks from
both Tupac and Biggie and makes them duets. With tracks such as California Love and I Get around featuring Biggie, these tracks take on a whole different feel. The
same thing goes for tracks such as Hypnotize and Big Poppa. By featuring Tupac as a friend instead of a nemesis, these tracks are clearly very different.
This will probably be my final mixtape of the 2015 year, so be sure to grab it up. You can
sample it right here at djdiamonddog.com and you can also
download the mixtape.
With 18 tracks on board, you will be sure to get a different perspective of these 2 classic 90's emcees. Without the hate, there's no telling how many
boundaries these icons would've destroyed.
Thanks for the support!! And I hope everyone enjoys this latest addition to the mixtape library!!
Since it's breakthrough into the mainstream, hip hop & pop are virtually synonymous with one another, especially in 2015. Hip hop has taken the big stage in the new millenium and
many of the new tracks from the popular (and new) artists cross over to the Billboard Hot 100.
The Pop-Hop Megamix 2015 takes you on a journey, not only through the new songs,
but through some of the biggest hip hop & pop songs of the past 25 years. In this 7 minute megamix, you will get a taste of everything from RedFoo to the Backstreet Boys.
What's My Name, originally released in the fall of 1999, is a high energy track from the then popular DMX. The raw energy, lyrics and overall sound made this the pick to be the debut
single off his album And Then There Was X. What's My Name had raw and powerful production, enough to push it up to #67 on the Billboard Hot 100. The sound was original and the
lyrics were about the high profile of DMX' status at the time.
One of the most influential tracks in the new millenium, I Can reached out to the new age of youth and inspired them to follow their dreams. This is a very motivational
track and preaches positive lyrics to a young generation. I Can is the highest charting single for Nas to date, peaking at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100. The original features a looping
sample of Beethoven's Fur Elise, which can also be heard on the remix near the end.
You can jump online now and
sample the rabid remix of I Can by Nas. The remix is a bit more raw (production-wise) but still has samples from the same original tracks
involved. You can also
download it for free and add it to your music collection. The remix, as always, is a HQ mp3 at 320kb/s so it will sound good on any sound system.
Thanks for the support. Stay tuned for the upcoming home production remix of What's My Name by DMX!!
From the 1998 album by the same name, What'cha Gonna do by Jayo Felony featured some of hip hop's heavyweights of the time. DMX, Method Man, Redman, WC and Mack 10
are the artists featured throughout the original and 1998 remix. Jayo (which is an abbreviation for "Justice Against Y'all Oppressors") was the first hip hop artist from
San Diego to be signed to a major label (Def Jam). Although he's only released 4 solo albums, he's been featured on a barrage of other artists' soungs through the past 2 decades.
What'cha Gonna Do (rabid remix) features a fresh new unheard beat from the dog house (DJ Diamond Dog) and goes in with hot verses from both DMX & Method Man with Jayo on the chorus.
sample this remix here and
download it here for your collection. The download features only an edited version of the song along with an instrumental as well.
There will be much more coming soon so stay tuned to djdiamonddog.com. Long Live Music!!!
Released in 2006, almost 10 years after his death, the Swizz Beatz remix of Untouchable debuted at #91 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles.
Although the original version featured Hussein Fatal, the Swizz Beatz remix featuring Krayzie Bone was, by far, the superior version of the track.
In his short time in the spotlight, Tupac (along with production from the legendary Dr Dre) touched the hearts & minds of millions.
Untouchable (Rabid Hood Remix) features a similar beat to Dr Dre's breakthrough for Eazy-E.... Boyz -N- The Hood... and was done exclusively by yours truly.
Heavy bass. Smooth production. Superior flow. All these ingredients equal a great track, which is what the rabid hood remix of Untouchable is.
So, please, take a few minutes to check out
Untouchable (Rabid Hood Remix) and
download it for your collection.
The download link features a high quality (dirty) mp3 version along with an instrumental of equal quality.
Thanks for the support and enjoy the music.
In honor of the huge success that Straight Outta Compton had on it's opening weekend, I offer the
Straight Outta Compton megamix
which features several of NWA & Eazy-E's biggest hits. The movie features what many of us old-school cats already knew... NWA broke down the doors with their raw & honest lyrics about the streets where they lived.
The music was a voice that was parallel to the experiences by millions around the world. The struggle that Ice Cube, Dr Dre, Eazy-E & company had in Compton was commonplace in areas throughout the United States & the rest of the world.
The music brought together a generation of people, regardless of race or "coastal affiliation." Although NWA reps the west coast, the message resinated with youth from the east coast and midwest as well.
NWA is possibly one of the most influential groups ever to bless the stage (along with Public Enemy and Boogie Down Productions).
Warning: 80's flashback alert. Yes!
Derelicts of Dialect (NY Rapture Remix) features a big 80's sample...
Originally performed by Blondie (from the album Autoamerican), Rapture peaked at #1 on the billboard hot 100 where it remained for 2 weeks.
Be sure to take a minute and sample the
dirty version of Derelicts of Dialect (NY Rapture Remix) and
download it for your music library. The download link features both the clean & dirty versions along with an instrumental version.
